Postcards are synonymous with summertime. Beautiful scenery, zany snapshots, “wish you were here, or not”. They indicate that one is on vacation and going interesting places. Remember? I see postcards as an old fashioned version of a visual tweet: “see what I’m doing”! And the best part is you can save the postcard, put it on your wall and each time you glance at it you think of the sender. It expresses a message that keeps giving. People love postcards. If you have hesitation about what to say- half of the card is for the address, and the other half could be as simple as what you would say in a text message or a short e-mail. It’s the thought that counts.
Surprise someone, send a postcard from your hometown or your vacation/ “daycation”. A US stamp is a mere 28 cents and very reasonable everywhere else. Try it. It’s fun and very “retro”!
