When thinking of those who served in the military, I am humbled. I cannot imagine what it was like to experience what they went through. Sure, we have journalistic images and war movies that give us the sights and sounds of combat, but that’s not like having your own boots on the ground.
Because of our Veterans, many of us have a holiday. To show my respect, I made donations to The Wounded Warrior Project and to The USO.
The USO offers a great suggestion for Reaching Out to the Troops, that I want to share…“The next time you see a member of our Armed Forces in uniform, take a moment to offer your hand and say…Thanks! We appreciate what you’re doing for us. We are proud of you. “
“… It will brighten their day immeasurably…bring a smile to their faces…and send them on their way knowing that Americans haven’t forgotten them.”
